The careful and economical use of energy is the central point of our energy management. Throughout the Erbprinz we try to bridge the gap between luxury and sustainability.

The central facilities include the combined heat and power plant, but also the current projects, such as the new solar system for energy generation, as well as the conversion of all lamps to energy-saving LEDs that is currently taking place.

Our energy management also includes energy controlling, which pays close attention to which energy can be saved through which measure. Our in-house technicians, who ensure the smooth operation of the technical systems, prepare regular reports here and proactively coordinate the energy management in the resort. Repair work and the replacement of technical components and spare parts are always selected and exchanged energy-consciously and efficiently.

The management regularly sets goals in order to be able to ensure measurability and the efficiency of the measures.

What actually is a combined heat and power plant?

Combined heat and power plants are systems which are used to generate both heat and electricity. One can thus make a contribution to climate protection. With the combined heat and power principle, the heat is used to generate electricity and is not released into the environment. Combined heat and power plants have a high level of efficiency. The efficiency indicates how much and efficiently the fuel can be converted into heat and electricity.
